The SADC Regional Peacekeeping Training College (SADC- RPTC) is conducting the Integrated Senior Mission Leadership Course (ISMLC) at the Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre (TPTC) under the auspices of the Southern African Development Community. The course opened on 24th March 2025.The aim of the course is to build capacity and prepare Senior Officers to assume senior leadership positions in peacekeeping missions.

The official guest at the opening of the course was Major General Seleman Mzee representing the Chief of the Tanzania People's Defence Force, General Jacob John Mkunda. Welcoming the Chief Guest of the Commandant Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre, Brigadier General George Mwita Itang’are said that Tanzania has benefited from providing many participants to the workshop, unlike the number that would have been provided if the workshop had been held in Zimbabwe. The   countries under SADC that provided participants to the workshop are Botswana, Eswatini, Angola, Malawi and Tanzania which has provided senior officers from all defense and security agencies.
