A short seminar on the presentation of new training curriculum to prepare SADC forces was held in Tanzania at the Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre located at Kunduchi, Dar es Salaam from November 18, 2024 to November 22, 2024.The seminar was conducted by the Regional Peacekeeping Training Centre (RPTC) located in Zimbabwe. The  participants were from SADC member states, Defense and security organs as well as Civil government institutions.

The aim of the seminar was to present a new curriculum that is in line with the current situation, and also to build the capacity of Officers and Men in the role of Peacekeeping in the region.

The Chief  guest during the  opening ceremony of the seminar was the Defense Forces Headquarter Commander (DFHQ Comd) Maj Gen General Iddi Said Nkambi. In attendance of the ceremony,were, the Commandant  of the Regional Peacekeeping Training Centre, Rear Admiral Gottlieb Pandeni, Commandant of Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre Brigadier General George Itang’are and others.
