Chief of Staff of Tanzania Peoples’ Defence Forces Lieutenant General Salum Haji Othman has insisted on continuing to strengthen existing Regional Cooperation in various fields including the Defence and Security of member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). He said this

during a short ceremony when he closed a seminar on the presentation of new training curriculum to prepare SADC forces, the event was held at Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre located at Kunduchi, Dar es Salaam on November 21, 2024.

The Training was conducted in collaboration with the government

of Tanzania, The Regional Peacekeeping Training Centre (RPTC) in Zimbabwe and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The participants of the seminar have thanked the government of Tanzania, SADC, UNITAR and UN in general for conducting the seminar which has built their capacity in the implementation of their duties under the umbrella of the African forces and United Nations.

The participants of the seminar were from SADC member states,

defence and security organs as well as government and Civil institutions.
