TPTC Conducted Women’s Leadership Training Course

The Women’s Leadership Workshop was conducted at Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre (TPTC) by instructors from United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR). The Workshop had a total number of twenty two (22) participants from Tanzania People’s Defence Forces (TPDF) and it took five (5) consecutive days from 28 November 2022 to 02 December 2022.

                                                                       

The Workshop was conducted based on the Leadership themes which covered on issues of Clarity, Authenticity, Power, Well Being and Connection. It was officially closed on 02 December 2022 by Brigadier General Agatha Katua who is the Head of General Military Hospital Lugalo. On the closing remarks, she thanked UNITAR for their immense and continuous support and congratulated the participants from TPDF and urges them to embrace the knowledge acquired during the training so as to promote Women Leadership in the Defence 

The closing ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Military Advisor of United Nations Major General Maureen O’Brian from Ireland Defence Forces. She was said that, women has a big role in Peacekeeping Operations as well as in the society, so need to be empowered and once they get opportunity to do something must work hard.
