TPTC CONDUCTS “WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY” TRAINING

The Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre (TPTC), located in Kunduchi, Dar es Salaam, officially concluded the “Women, Peace and Security” training in 2025 with great success. This marked a significant step in the implementation of the National Agenda, which was officially launched on August 19, 2025, at the same institution. The agenda aims to strengthen the participation of women in matters of Peace and Security.
The objectives of the training included the empowering women to actively participate in conflict prevention and peacekeeping operations, educating participants on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 concerning Women, Peace, and Security and Promoting collaboration between Security Forces and the community at large.
The training was sponsored by the Government of Japan through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). UNDP is the UN’s global development network, operating in over 170 countries worldwide to support sustainable development, reduce inequality, and eradicate poverty.
