TPTC LAUNCHED INTERNATIONAL PEACEKEEPING TRAINERS’ COURSE

The Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre (TPTC), located in Kunduchi, Dar es Salaam, made history by hosting a special training program for United Nations Staff Officer Trainers. The two-week course ran from July 07, 2025 to July 17, 2025, bringing together 22 participants from various countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Vietnam, Botswana, Zambia, and Tanzania.

The program aimed to empower Officer trainers with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective instructors in their respective countries, helping prepare units and teams tasked with peacekeeping missions under the umbrella of the United Nations.

The guest of honor at the closing event was the Chief of Military Medics, Major General Amri Mwami. Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Mwami emphasized that the participants of this training would become a vital resource in global peacekeeping efforts, particularly in preparing Officers and troops for international peace missions.
