The Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre (TPTC) located at Kunduchi Dar es salaam is conducting a French Language Course for Officers and Men of the Tanzania People defence Force [TPDF]. The Course is divided into three (3) parts which are Beginners, Intermediate and the Advance level. This Beginners level was conducted for a period of twelve weeks from 06 Mar 23 to 07 Jun 23.

It had a total of 46 Students (23 Officers and 23 Men) and was officially closed on 07 Jun 23 by the Commandant TPTC, Brigadier General George Itang’are. Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Commandant said; ‘‘It is always a good thing for Officers and Men to Know more than one language because that will raise their confidence while serving in any UN Mission’’.

This is the second course at the center. The first one was also conducted in collaboration with the French Embassy in 2022 at TPTC. The courses come out as a result of good relationship between the French Government and Tanzania.
