The Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPDF) in collaboration with other National Security Organs successfully took part in a special training on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) conducted by the Tanzania Peacekeeping Training Centre (TPTC). The training was held since May 27, 2026 to June 05, 2026. A total of 27 participants from TPDF, Police, Immigration, and Collection had the opportunity to attend the training. The program was sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Government of Japan.

The aim of the training was to build the capacity of Officers and Men so as they can effectively carry out their peacekeeping duties when deployed in United Nations operations.

The closing ceremony of the training was officiated by the Commandant of the Tanzania Military Academy, Major General Jackson Jairos Mwaseba.
